Even though the site and community has successfully launched, we are continuing to work with Kerry and his staff on more projects to create tools that retain association membership, but in addition, to recruit new members. There are many great opportunities to get involved with. Within the technology, creative, and marketing community, several organizations have started and NFi is supporting the growth of these 100%: CoLab Orlando: Co-Working, shared space for like-minded individuals who can work together, bounce off creative ideas, and flourish in their own businesses. doterati: A Central Florida association to advance the Central Florida interactive marketing, media and technology community by serving as an association for professional development, education, community networking, and overall inspiration for our digital society. Ignite Orlando: A local event paid for by sponsors and organized by volunteers with two aspects that make it unique: several five-mintute presentations given by volunteer speakers on the topic of their choice, and a "Make" project contest. The first event was held March 4th in Wall Street Plaza and included amazing talks from Central Florida leaders. Our very own, Derek Gallo spoke on "Open ID vs. Facebook Connect vs. Google Friend Connect. Read more on what happened at Ignite. Red Carpet Monday: Red Carpet Mondayâ„¢ is a sophisticated, social business network, featuring Central Florida's most successful business owners, professionals and entrepreneurs. The events put on by Red Carpet Monday give attendees a place to unwind while socializing, networking and sharing business ideas with other members. NFi is excited to be a sponsor and involved with this growing network of business professionals. This is only a short snapshot of the many groups and organizations open to join. The Buzz....
NFi Studios proudly welcomes 3 new members to our team. Mike Bernat joins us as a PHP Developer, Nadia Merhai joins us as Office / Finance Manager, and Liana Lavoie as a Design Intern. All have done great work in the short amount of time and have a bright future ahead here at NFi! Welcome to the team!
