NFi Studios delivers Innovative Social Media Platform to Help Growing Network of Grassroots Community Organizations to Collaborate Online. PICO National Network Announces Community Networking Platform called “MyPICO”.

Orlando, FL (August 4 ,2009) – In the aftermath of President Obama’s successful employment of online social networking tools to organize a massive grassroots electoral campaign that helped propel him into office, NFi Studios announces a new online community for staff and volunteers from PICO National Network, an alliance of 52 faith-based grassroots community organizations. 

Called “MyPICO,” the online community is powered by NFi’s MemberFuse platform, a customizable online community platform for associations and organizations that offers powerful education, benchmarking, networking capabilities and opportunities.  It ensures that businesses and organizations like the PICO National Network maintain overall control of the user-experience, content and analytics. MemberFuse will help catapult PICO and its grassroots members to the leading edge of combining traditional grassroots organizing with social media and online collaboration.

PICO (People Improving Communities through Organizing), is a national network of 52 faith-based community organizations working to create innovative solutions to problems facing urban, suburban and rural communities.  Founded in 1972, PICO offers training and consulting to community organizations and coordinates state and national-level campaigns to influence health care, housing, immigration, and education policy.

NFi Studios launched the MyPICO Community in July for the more than 200 staff members in the PICO Network, and will be launching to all its grassroots community volunteers over the next month.
