What is your experience with fav.or.it?
The original idea, of Fav.or.it - the ability to comment on stories and have the comment appear both on the site and the originating blog. Certainly, Fav.or.its desire to make commenting on blogs a mainstream activity is a laudable one. Create your own channels and use these features:
- Conversation tracking across the blogosphere
- Meme-Tracker starting page
- Identity management across a large range of external sites
- Support for data portability (APML)
- Most advanced sharing system of any reader - including the concept of collaborative sharing
Fav.or.it Nick Halstead focused on the core goal of making feed reading and commenting as user-friendly and mass marketable as humanly possible. RSS reader aficionados may be dissapointed by Fav.or.it, but then it is not aimed at them, and that's worth keeping in mind. Developed using the Zend Framework on PHP, just three developers have managed to build a pretty significant product.
