Derek Gallo has over ten years of experience in the Software Development and Engineering fields. He has a Bachelor´s of Science in Computer Science from the University of Central Florida, and has software development experience in a wide array of industries. Derek´s development background includes: Development of government military tank simulators, creating online equity trading platforms, university parking logistics software, a nationwide retail distribution system, custom event management software, and DVD authoring software. Skilled at architecting the underlying framework of large software systems, Derek´s main focus is the development on underlying application platforms aimed at rapid development with extensible customizability. The software development process is also a point of interest using scrum development for a truly agile means of producing quality software.
I enjoy riding my Yamaha R-6R motorcycle. I enjoy motorcycles of all types. I am starting the process of building a custom Harley Davidson from the ground up.
I love the PHP language. I started out with much lower level languages such as C/C++ but once I moved into the web world PHP quickly became my language of choice.
OLP has been my favorite band for a long time, ever since I learned who they were back in college. While I am not as impressed with their recent album, I still really enjoy their past tracks.
