NFi in the Community with The American Cancer Society
January 17th, 2008 | Posted by Lynda RaphaelSterling Raphael, President of NFi Studios recently attended the first board meeting of the American Cancer Society in Orlando, FL. The American Cancer Society is the nationwide community-based voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem by preventing cancer, saving lives, and diminishing suffering from cancer, through research, education, advocacy, and service.
“I considered it an honor to be asked to serve on the ACS Board and to be associated with this organization. In starting this new venture, I am also starting a new chapter of my life. I look forward to sharing it with all of you. This position is not about me. It is about all of us. It is about our beloved community. Most of all it is about creating a positive, compassionate, environment of support for ACS. By innovative, interactive marketing, it is my goal to see a supportive environment grow to unparalleled heights and depths. There are many opportunities for all of us to back ACS - not with just our dollars, but our hearts, our minds and voices!” Sterling Raphael
With this new level of vision we move forward with our first opportunity, starting with The American Cancer Society’s 2nd Annual Tropical Night Gala to be held at the Royal Pacific Resort on Saturday, April 19, 2008. Coach Lou & Beth Holtz will serve as honorary chairs for this evening in paradise including a silent and live auction, exciting entertainment, and exquisite dining. All proceeds raised will go to support the American Cancer Society’s efforts in research, education, advocacy, and service. Tickets and Agreement forms can be located by emailing tropicalnightsorlando@cancer.org
